The NEAT ID (European AIDS Treatment Network for Infectious Diseases) is proud to announce that Dr. Geoffroy Liegeon has been awarded the NEAT ID Young Investigator of the Year Award 2025.

This inaugural award recognises the outstanding contribution of an early-career researcher in the field of HIV and infectious diseases. Dr. Liegeon received the highest score from the NEAT ID review panel for his exceptional submission, which demonstrated scientific rigour, innovation, and clear potential to impact clinical practice.

The award will be formally presented at the NEAT ID Special Session during the European AIDS Clinical Society (EACS) Conference 2025, to be held in Paris on Thursday, 16th October, from 12:30–1:30 PM in Salle Maillot.

“NEAT ID is very happy and proud to help young researchers start and develop their academic career within NEAT ID originated research projects”, stated Professor Jürgen Rockstroh. “These young, dedicated infectiologists are urgently needed to tackle the upcoming infectious disease challenges globally.”

"Receiving the Young Investigator of the Year Award is an extraordinary honour, and I am deeply grateful for this recognition” stated Dr Geoffroy Liegeon. “This award highlights the exceptional opportunities NEAT ID provides to young researchers to advance research in HIV and infectious diseases. I am sincerely thankful to NEAT ID for their support and for fostering innovation in our field. I look forward to continuing this important work as part of this outstanding clinical research network."

The NEAT ID Young Investigator of the Year Award aims to encourage and celebrate the next generation of clinical researchers and their contributions to improving the understanding, treatment, and care of HIV and related infectious diseases.
