Young Investigator of the Year Award
We are pleased to announce the launch of the NEAT ID Young Investigator of the Year Award, which will be presented during the upcoming EACS Conference 2025. This initiative has been created by the NEAT ID Advisory Group Committee.
This award aims to recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions of young investigators within the NEAT ID network, particularly those who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, passion, and commitment to our studies.
We invite Principal Investigators (PIs) to nominate a young investigator from their team who have made significant contributions to the success of NEAT ID studies. To be eligible for the award, the nominee must be 35 years of age or younger, with an additional year allowed for each career break taken due to parenthood.
The ideal nominee will have shown exemplary involvement in key areas of the NEAT ID studies, including but not limited to:
-
Engaging in the recruitment of participants
-
Contributing to the design and implementation of sub-studies
-
Supporting the publication process and dissemination of results
-
Overall dedication and commitment to the NEAT ID research program
As part of the nomination process, we kindly ask PIs to provide a letter of appraisal for their nominee, detailing the individual’s specific contributions to NEAT ID studies, along with reasons why they believe the nominee is deserving of this recognition.
The nominations will be reviewed by an independent committee, and the recipient of the NEAT ID Young Investigator of the Year Award will be honoured with a bursary to attend EACS 2025.
Nominations will be open: 7am CET, Thursday the 1st of May 2025
Nominations will close: 5pm CET, Thursday the 19th of June 2025.
Winner will be notified: Second week of August
Bursary Released: Mid-Late August 2025
Bursary amount: €2,500
