Professor Andrzej Horban

Medical Director of the Hospital for Infectious Diseases in
Warsaw, Poland and on the faculty of the Warsaw Medical
University, Department of Infectious Diseases. His vast experience
includes an M.D. degree from the Medical Academy of Warsaw and
post-graduate degrees in internal medicine and infectious diseases.
His international training includes studies in infectious diseases and epidemiology at Malmo University, Sweden, at the University of Rouen, France, at Johns Hopkins, at the Pasteur Institute and at the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the NIH.
He has served on more than 50 clinical trials for treatments of AIDS, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C infections and served on the Steering Committees of numerous international clinical studies.
His broad experience has contributed to numerous professional societies including as a board member of the European AIDS Clinical Society, President and Vice President of the Polish AIDS Society, member of the Governing Council of the International AIDS Society and other groups devoted to the study of infectious disease.
