Professor De Wit is Chief of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Saint-Pierre University 

Hospital, Brussels.

 

As a Clinician and Clinical Researcher he has been active in the field of HIV/AIDS since 1983.

He is also Professor of Infectious Diseases and Master of conference at the Free University of Brussels, Co-ordinator of the Brussels Saint Pierre Cohort, Chair of the Belgian HIV Research Consortium BREACH.
